I've tried a lot of them, and no, they're just not for me.(Redirected from Para-ordnance P14-45) Para-Ordnance P14-45 TypeSemi-automatic pistolPlace of originCanada Or is it just because no other pistol in the eyes of the Glock fanatic will ever be as good or as strong? (The way I see it, a polymer framed pistol, under normal operating conditions, will never have a truck parked on top of it, though the Glock fan is always quick to point out that his gun can withstand that.) BTW, I'm not a Glock man (could you tell) so don't suggest one over the HK. And I can't imagine the US Marine Corps Force Recon would issue them as an offensive handgun if the frames broke easily. Is this true? I have never heard of this before.

P.S.- I heard from a Glock freak (if that is any indication.) that the HK USP polymer frame is quite prone to breaking.

Does anyone have any experience shooting the Para single-action double stacks? How's the percieved recoil with all tthe extra weight? Also, can anyone give me the total weight of a stock (read: not customized in any way) steel frame P14-45 loaded to full capacity (15 rounds)? They seem to cost about the same as one not marked with anything special.

Is it true that the "Signature" series was just the old name for the current "Limited" series? If so, what makes the pistol worthy of the distinction of being "Limited" or "Signature"? The Para Ord website couldn't really answer this for me. Considering purchasing an as-new (unfired) blued steel Para-Ord P14-45 Signature full-size, but had a few questions.
